list_projects

How Context Works

All MCP tools accept an optional projectId parameter. If not provided, tools use the session’s default project set via set_project.

Context Persistence

  • Context persists within a session
  • Context is stored for 24 hours per user and client, so it persists across reconnections
  • Override the default by passing projectId explicitly to any tool

Implementation Behavior

The MCP server manages context based on these rules:
  1. No Automatic Default: Only set_project sets the default project, even if the user has access to a single project
  2. Project Selection: Call list_projects to see available projects, then set_project
  3. Error Guidance: When tools are called without proper context, the error message tells you to call set_project or pass projectId
