Tags Overview

Tags provide a simple categorization system that can be applied to Components, Content, and Assets within Metabind. They enable efficient organization and filtering of content.

The Tag Object

Permissions

Tags have no permission group of their own:

Viewing tags needs no role permission; a scoped API key needs the content.read scope
Creating, updating, and deleting tags require content.create, content.update, and content.delete

Using Tags

Tags can be applied when creating or updating:

Components: Include tag IDs in the metadata.tags array
Content: Include tag IDs in the tags array
Assets: Include tag IDs in the tags array

Filtering by Tags

Use the tags query parameter or advanced filtering to find resources by tag:

# Simple query parameter
GET /app/v1/.../content?tags=tag123

# Advanced filtering - any tag
POST /app/v1/.../content/search

# Advanced filtering - all tags
